The final stop on the Italy trip was Rome, one of the most well-known and well-loved European capitals. I'd heard a lot about Rome, and seen many images of it (well, mainly the Colosseum). It is certainly a unique city with the number of ancient ruins and historic structures it still has, which dominate the environment. I'm glad I got to finally experience what it is like. I even was able to attend an outdoor service led by Pope Francis aside the Colosseum on Good Friday.
