In many of the big name Italian cities, they were vastly more touristy than I had even imagined. Venice, however, wasn't quite as bad as Rome and Milan were. Famous for its canal system, with no cars and just boats, it's certainly a different way of life over there. Visually it was one of the most unique cities, along with Amsterdam, that I came across on my travels. I think I took the most photos here out of anywhere else in Italy, but it's also easy to get the idea of the place in a day or so. By day three, nearly every little street of Venice had been crossed off the map. In retrospect, although it actually didn't live up to my original expectations - it was still a fun city to visit.
