Marzabotto is part of the province of Bologna, yet away from the main town it seems like a world of its own. The short train ride was certainly a day trip worth taking. After getting off the train, you see a small village surrounded by mountains. With a healthy amount of hiking, you can climb to the peak of those mountains to see great panoramic views. It was a nice change of pace from the rest of the Italy trip.
